Expanding Parx casino holding job fair to fill 200 positions
Pennsylvania's largest casino is adding two restaurants, a poker room and a live concert venue in Bensalem.
Parx Casino will hold a daylong job fair on Wednesday to fill 200 positions to be created with its $50 million expansion in Bensalem.
Pennsylvania's largest casino is adding two restaurants, a poker room, and a live-concert venue. The new facilities are expected to open in late December or early January. The new dining rooms — a Lombardi Italian eatery and the Liberty Bell Gastropub — will employ scores of bartenders, cocktail waitresses, wait staff, cashiers, kitchen help, and cleaning-crew members, said Parx spokeswoman Carrie Nork Minelli. The revamped poker room will require additional dealers and security officers. The new theater will be hiring ushers and valet parkers, among others.
The job fair will run from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Parx East, the complex which usually hosts horse racing fans, at 3001 Street Road. For more information and online application forms go to www.parxcasino.com/careers.
