Susquehanna 1 nuke plant up to 94% capacity

The Susquehanna 1 reactor in Berwick, outside Scranton, is operating at 94 percent capacity today, up from 25 percent capacity yesterday, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission reported.

Owned by PPL Corp. in Allentown, the reactor had problems with a recirculation pump, NRC spokeswoman Diane Screnci said. Another unit at the same site, Susquehanna 2, is operating at 100 percent.
