Blank Rome names new managing partner
Grant S. Palmer, the current chair of the litigation department, will rise to the position on Jan. 1, 2019.
A new managing partner will lead Blank Rome LLP, the 600-attorney law firm based in Philadelphia with offices across the nation and in Shanghai.
Grant S. Palmer, the current chair of the litigation department, will rise to the position on Jan. 1, 2019. Alan J. Hoffman will hold the title of both chairman and managing partner through year's end. Hoffman will continue his term as chairman after the New Year.
"Grant and I have worked closely together for more than 25 years. In addition to being a top-notch litigator, he is a trusted and respected leader," Hoffman said in a statement. "We're confident that under his leadership, Blank Rome will continue to achieve great things."
Palmer, a nationally recognized trial lawyer, is a 1989 graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law. He began his career as a federal law clerk to U.S. District Judge Robert S. Gawthrop in Philadelphia and joined Blank Rome in 1990.
