Sears is shuttering dozens of stores. Here’s a list of the closings.

Sears Holding Corp., announced it will shutter 33 Sears and 13 Kmart stores in November, after the retailer has already shuttered hundreds of stores in recent years.

This latest round of closures, following announcements of 63 store closings in May and more than 100 in January, are part of the company's "ongoing efforts to streamline Sears Holdings' operations, strengthen our capital position and focus on our best stores," according to the news release. "We continue to evaluate our network of stores, which is a critical component to our integrated retail transformation, and will make further adjustments as needed."

The retailer operated 894 stores, as of May 5, 2018, through Kmart and Sears, according to the company's most recent quarterly filing. This is a dramatic drop from the company's presence six years ago, with 2,019 full-line and 54 specialty retail stores in the United States and 475 stores in Canada operating through Sears Canada Inc, according to 2012's annual filing.

Greg Melich, a retail analyst at MoffettNathanson expects the company's store counts to keep falling and predicts the company will file "for some form of bankruptcy in the next 12 months."

"It's part of an ongoing multiyear trend," Melich said, referring to the store closings. "It does take a retailer a long time to die."

The once-dominant retailer has been taking steps in recent years to strengthen its balance sheet, including the sale of its Craftsman tool brand last year to Stanley Black & Decker Inc. and an agreement to sell Kenmore and DieHard products through Amazon.com Inc. For years, Chief Executive Officer Edward Lampert has used his own money to keep Sears afloat amid declines in store traffic and sales. The company has already shaved more than $1 billion from annual expenses.

Lampert's hedge fund, ESL Investments Inc., said in April it would be open to buying some of the company's assets and urged the department store to put the businesses on the block. ESL submitted a bid for the store's Kenmore and Sears Home Improvement businesses at a valuation of around $470 million, according to a regulatory filing last week.

Below is a list of stores that will close in November 2018. The Sears Auto Centers at some of the below locations will close in late August (*), September(**) or October(***).
