Fallon's set designer is a Philly guy

DIGGING THE NEW SET for "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon"? It's got a Carson flair with a modern twist, don't you think?

It's all thanks to Philly guy Eugene Lee, who's also set designer for "Saturday Night Live" and has won Tonys for his designs for "Wicked," Leonard Bernstein's "Candide" and Stephen Sondheim's "Sweeney Todd." Before that, Lee cut his teeth at South Street's Theatre of Living Arts.

Lee's next act? Working at the Arden Theatre.

Lee is the scenic designer for "Three Sisters," Anton Chekhov's classic. "Three Sisters" begins on March 20 and runs through April 20.

A new Fox drama pilot is becoming quite the Philly affair.

West Philly's own Lee Daniels cast Lafayette Hill's own Terrence Howard as Lucious Lyon, a hip-hop superstar/mogul about to take his label public, in Daniels' "Empire." Danny Strong, who wrote "Lee Daniels' The Butler," is slated to help script it.

Howard, coincidentally, is keeping it local when it comes to his Fox ties. He's also working with M. Night Shyamalan on "Wayward Pines," the director's first foray into television, with the limited series also starring Matt Dillon.

Actor-director Mark Webber, the son of Philly activist and onetime Green Party vice-presidential candidate Cheri Honkala, is a dad again.

The veteran of such films as "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World," who'll be seen in the upcoming Keira Knightley flick "Laggies," welcomed son Bodhi with his wife, Australian actress Teresa Palmer (zombie rom-com "Warm Bodies").

This is the second child for Kensington-raised Webber, who has another son, Isaac, from a previous relationship.

Honkala told me she goes by "Nana" since she's simply too young to be "Grandma." "Things are really rough out here, particularly for young males in the world," Honkala said. "As his nana, I'll make sure they're involved in making this place a better world. [Bodhi], along with Isaac, are having to deal with the media and paparazzi and all of those types of things, and I think they'll be fine as long as they keep grounded."

How will she do that? "I'll have them doing community work in Kensington," she said.

I hear that Eagles Jason Kelce and Todd Herremans will take part in the Fallen Hero Polar Bear Plunge in North Wildwood on Saturday. The dip in the icy-cool Atlantic starts at 15th and Beach at 11 a.m., and is hosted by 6ABC's Ali Gorman. For more info, go to fallenheroplunge.com.

* Dana Stellar will be featured on TLC's mega-addictive reality show "Say Yes to the Dress," on tomorrow night's episode. Stellar's mother died after battling ovarian cancer, and Stellar's goal is to find a dress she knows her mom would love. Catch her at 9 p.m.

* Philly gal Christina Astacio will come on down to "The Price is Right" tomorrow. Astacio will hang out with host Drew Carey at 11 a.m. on CBS.

* Gov. Corbett stopped by Blue Bell's Ristorante Castello (721 Skippack Pike) for a meal with aide William R. Sasso. Corbett, who was polite to the staff, had the house special veal chops.
