Session is set for W. Chester school board candidates

WEST CHESTER The West Chester Area School District will hold an information session Jan. 22 for residents interested in running for the school board.

Five of the nine board seats are up for election. The primary election will be held in May. Board members serve four-year terms and are divided between three voter regions within the district.

At the meeting, Superintendent Jim Scanlon and other speakers will discuss board member responsibilities, candidacy, and the election process, according to a statement from the school district.

The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at the Spellman Administration Building and requires an RSVP. More information is available at www.wcasd.net. - Justine McDaniel
