Along with a kosher barbecue contest and kids' activities, you'll find adult beverages from Shmaltz Brewing Co., creators of He'brew - The Chosen Beer. Golden Slipper Club & Charities is hosting the barbecue to promote Jewish culture and raise money for the charity.
* As her eponymous Susanna Foo (1512 Walnut St., 215-545-2666) nears its last day June 13, chef/proprietor Foo is thanking customers who stop in for a goodbye meal by giving them a 20 percent-off voucher toward her suburban restaurant, Susanna Foo Gourmet Kitchen (555 E. * Tammy Hughel, a holistic health and nutrition counselor, returns to Joe Palombo's Mirabella Cafe (210 E. Route 70, Cherry Hill, N.J., 856-354-1888) for a cooking class on "Healthy Quick Dishes" that are wheat- and gluten-free, at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The cost is $40, and reservations are suggested. Guests are encouraged to bring a favorite bottle of wine.
