1995: Fatone is recruited by music impresario Lou Pearlman for a new quintet ultimately dubbed 'N Sync, because the members' voices were "in sync" with each other.
October 1996: 'N Sync's first single, "I Want You Back," released in Germany.
May 1997: The group's self-titled debut album released in Germany.
January 1998: Debut album and the single "I Want You Back" released in the United States.
