It's disco for the boogying baby

Club Shampoo hosts party for diapered dancers, and caretakers.

Calling all kids to the dance floor on Sunday as the Baby Loves Disco monthly series returns to club Shampoo.

From noon to 2:30 p.m., children and their caretakers can boogie to kid-friendly disco tunes spun by DJ Samson and DJ Scribe. While taking a break from the dance floors, children can also get mini manicures, and participate in arts and crafts and other activities. The party will feature a dance-off contest, and circus entertainers from the Philadelphia Experiment will wander and dance with the crowd, performing juggling and hoop tricks, puppeteering and more. There will be healthy snacks and all the juice you can drink. And, for the non-driving-partygoing parents in attendance, a cash bar will be offered. MC Flipside will serve as the party host to keep the party jumping.

Baby Loves Disco is part of the national "We Are Family" tour sponsored by H&M. The event was founded in Philadelphia in 2007.

Collage Workshop at Grounds for Sculpture

Inspired by the artistic vision of the French artist and using an art mannequin, kids will learn to identify and examine the human figure and put it into basic shapes to make art. Colored paper and textural foam will be used for children to create a figurative collage. The workshop is from 1 to 3 p.m.
