Elizabeth Hur leaves CBS3

CBS3 REPORTER Elizabeth Hur called it quits on Monday. I heard she decided to leave the station to try something new, which Hur corroborated when I reached her.

"Truly, the decision to leave comes from my ambition to grow and my desire to explore new challenges," Hur said, noting that the station tried to work with her until she ultimately decided to leave.

Hur, who grew up in Ambler and graduated from Upper Dublin High School before matriculating at NYU, joined CBS3 in 2008. Before that, Hur, who was born in Seoul, South Korea, was an intern at the station, covering both the Democratic and Republican conventions in 2000.

General-assignment reporter Jenn Bernstein left the station last month to return to her former home in Connecticut, and a source at the station tells me there might be another high-profile departure in the works.

Quick-fix domestic goddess Rachael Ray was on QVC duty yesterday. While in the area, Ray tweeted out that she dined on hummus from Dizengoff (1625 Sansom St.), the new spot from Israeli food whiz Michael Solomonov. "Love the eggplant hummus and all things Chef Mike Solomonov does in Philly," Ray said. Too bad she didn't wait. Abe Fisher, Solomonov's newest food venture, featuring grub from the Jewish diaspora, is set to open Tuesday next to Dizengoff.

Guillermo Diaz, a/k/a the mercurial Huck, of "Scandal," and Jessica Meraz, of ABC Family's "Chasing Life," are lending their celeb support to the 12th annual Jessie's Day fundraiser via social media.

Jessie's Day, which takes place Sept. 14 at Urban Saloon (2120 Fairmount Ave.), honors the memory of Temple journalism student Jessica Beth Schwartz, whose life was tragically cut short at age 23. Proceeds go to providing pediatric transplant recipients with college scholarships. Four students from the area - Brianna O'Connell, Jacob Neff, Tiffanie Saporito and Claudia Johnstonbaugh - are this year's beneficiaries.

Laura Schwartz, Jessica's sister, worked in the entertainment industry and reached out to the celebs, who were more than happy to participate. Diaz, for instance, will donate "Scandal" swag, including a signed script, to the silent auction that also includes a limited-edition scarf from "Project Runway" victor Dom Streater, autographed goods from "Call Me Maybe" gal Carly Rae Jepsen and more.

Fox 29's Mike Jerrick will emcee the event. To purchase $40 tickets, head to the Gift of Life's site at donors1.org.

Talk about a new 'do for back to school. Mykey Cooper, 9, a model who has appeared on NBC's "The Blacklist" and the pilot for new show "State of Affairs," appeared on Fox 29 yesterday to get the face of new "Good Day Philadelphia" anchor Alex Holley shaved into the back of his head by celeb barber Kenny Duncan. It was all to promote Curls for Girls and Barbers Who Care, two events that will give Philly kids, ages 5 to 17, back-to-school haircuts on Sunday. Curls for Girls takes place at Styles by Jon (808 W. Girard Ave.) from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., while Barbers Who Care take over Villa (4. S. 52nd St.) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Curls for Girls and Barbers Who Care is sponsored by 17 Days of Fashion.

Holley starts on "Good Day" on Tuesday.
