Sources: 6ABC's McCormick asks for time off

BY ALL accounts, 6ABC reporter Annie McCormick is a fantastic reporter and wonderful woman, and it's a shame what's happening to her.
Sources tell me that McCormick asked the station for some time off after her husband, lobbyist A.J. Marsico, was charged with sexual assault stemming from an August incident.
A rep from 6ABC said that the station does not comment on personnel matters. McCormick is a part-time employee at 6ABC and does not have a regular schedule.
McCormick also has deleted her Twitter account since Sunday. Her bio formerly read "Love sweets & my husband."
Greenlee Partners, where Marsico was employed as a senior associate, put Marsico on leave, writing in its newsletter: "These allegations are inconsistent with the values of our firm, and we believe this move is best for all parties at this time. The court system is the appropriate venue to address these allegations. Therefore, we believe it is inappropriate to comment further at this time. As we move forward, our thoughts are with the families involved."
Marsico is expected to face a preliminary hearing on Oct. 9, according to court records.
NBC10 gains two
NBC10 will welcome two new reporters to its ranks on Oct. 1. Randy Gyllenhaal will report from the station's Lehigh Valley bureau. Mitch Blacher will join the NBC10 Investigators.
Gyllenhaal previously logged time at WPBF, in West Palm Beach, Fla., where he has been a reporter since 2011. Blacher hails from ABC affiliate KGTV, in San Diego, where he has been an investigative reporter since 2009. He'll work with Harry Hairston and newly hired investigative producer Jim O'Donnell.
Forbes brings Afrojack, Wiz Khalifa to Piazza
Forbes magazine is hosting the Forbes Under 30 music festival on Oct. 19 at the Piazza at Schmidts (1001 N. 2nd St.), and I've learned the lineup.
Headlining the fest is Afrojack, whom Forbes named as the sixth-highest-paid DJ in all the land. He's joined by Pittsburgh-born rapper Wiz Khalifa, who is married to gorgeous South Philly gal Amber Rose. Also rocking the mic will be L.A. singer LP and Philly's own rap duo OCD: Moosh & Twist, who simply killed it during their set at this year's Made in America Festival. The acts were curated by the Roots' Questlove.

McDonnell starts in K.C.
Former "Good Day Philadelphia" doyenne Kacie McDonnell is officially outta here. She started her new gig yesterday as the morning traffic reporter for KSHB 41 Action News, the NBC affiliate in Kansas City, Mo. McDonnell moved to Kansas City to be with boyfriend Aaron Murray, a quarterback for the Chiefs, who has yet to throw a pass for the team.
The 'Right' stuff
Want to come on down and hang with Drew Carey? "The Price is Right" is holding a contestant search on Friday at SugarHouse Casino (1001 N. Delaware Ave.). Two lucky people will be flown to Los Angeles, and one is guaranteed a spot on Contestants' Row (a/k/a my dreams fulfilled). The search takes place from noon to 3 p.m.
