The Taney Dragons' star pitcher may be settling into her usual routine, but the world hasn't forgotten about the teen.
THE TANEY DRAGONS' Mo'ne Davis has been named by Time magazine as one of the nation's 25 most influential teens of 2014.

Columbus Day parade
Film and TV star Chazz Palminteri ("The Usual Suspects" and "A Bronx Tale") served as grand marshal for Sunday's 2014 Columbus Day Parade in South Philadelphia. Palminteri was a good sport, greeting fans, taking pictures and signing autographs along the parade route down Broad Street.
Bridal happenings
NBC10 weekend anchor Rosemary Connors was among the brides looking over all the beautiful Nicole Miller creations at the annual Bellevue Gets Engaged wedding event at the Hyatt on Sunday. Philly Chit Chat's HughE Dillon snapped a photo of her as she eyed a slinky number that would suit her. Then again, Connors would look good in anything. Connors, who just graduated from law school, got engaged earlier this year to Ben Cross, who manages a family-run chimney-restoration business. Also pictured is her mother, former Daily News reporter Mary Flannery, and Connors' future mother-in-law, Jayne Cross. Connors is planning an October 2015 wedding.
The blacker the berry
Radio personality MoShay LaRen is one of the women featured in a new book by film director Bill Duke ("Rage in Harlem," "Sister Act 2") called Dark Girls. The book deals with the subject of bias against dark-skinned women and is a companion to the NAACP Image Award-winning 2011 documentary "Dark Girls."
"Dark Girls exploits an issue all too common and one which has created separatism and discrimination amongst our own," LaRen told me via email. "Color does not define beauty . . . beauty is a spectrum of colors, but most importantly defined by spirit, not aesthetics."
Other notables featured in the coffee-table book include actresses Lupita Nyong'o, Pauletta Washington (Denzel Washington's wife), Cicely Tyson and Brandi. The hardcover version is out Nov. 11.
Sexologist leaving
Local sexologist Jill McDevitt has decided she's done with harsh winters on the East Coast, so she and her new hubby, Ryan Pena, have given notice on their apartment and are moving to San Diego. But it's not just the cold that's making her leave. McDevitt, who used to run the Feminique store in West Chester, also is looking forward to being in an atmosphere that's a little more open when it comes to her line of work.
"I want to go somewhere where they just need a little push," McDevitt told me yesterday. She'll be around until Dec. 26, so email her now at jill@thesexologist.org to book her for speaking engagements and seminars.
