Kacie McDonnell splits with fiancee Aaron Murray

FORMER Fox 29 traffic reporter Kacie McDonnell is no longer engaged to Kansas City Chiefs backup quarterback Aaron Murray.

McDonnell moved from Philadelphia to Kansas City, Mo., where she landed a job as a traffic reporter at the local NBC affiliate, to be with Murray in August. The pair started dating in 2013.

"I'm loving my career in Kansas City," McDonnell told me, confirming that Murray ended their engagement. "I'm really committed to being a part of this community for the time being. The engagement is off. I wish him the best. It's best to part ways. I'm moving on with my life."

Throughout our conversation, McDonnell reiterated her love for Philadelphia, saying that her heart is always here.

As of a few weeks ago, the engagement seemed to be going well, with McDonnell and Murray looking for wedding venues in Philly, including the Cathedral Basilica of Ss. Peter and Paul, according to an Instagram photo McDonnell posted. The photo has since been deleted.

Murray's brother, Josh, also recently went through a high-profile breakup, ending his engagement with "Bachelorette" star Andi Dorfman earlier this month. The couple met on the show last season.

The New York Post's Page Six caught rap-goddess superstar Nicki Minaj and Philly rapper Meek Mill dining at Red Stixs, in Midtown Manhattan, over the weekend. When I reported that the rumored couple were caught canoodling in Philly last week, Minaj tweeted "The Philadelphia Daily News," adding a weary face, see-no-evil monkey and heart emoji, making my fair People Paper a trending topic.

Although Minaj's tweet didn't confirm or deny my report of their love match, Minaj and Mill certainly seem to be hanging out quite a bit for "just friends."

* Bernard Hopkins celebrated his 50th birthday Monday night at Parx Casino (2999 Street Road, Bensalem), and a litany of boxing greats showed up to fete the Executioner, including Danny "Swift" Garcia, Bryant Jennings, Rasheed Wallace, Jesse Hart, Steve "USS" Cunningham and Simon "One Punch" Carr. Fox 29's Quincy "Q Deezy" Harris was also in attendance. Hopkins recently confirmed to Fox 29's "Good Day Philadelphia" that he was game for one more fight before retiring. It also was announced that Jennings will take on Wladimir Klitschko (a/k/a the fiance of "Nashville" actress Hayden Panettiere) in a fight on April 25 at Madison Square Garden.

* Eagle Connor Barwin, a massive music fan (not just in stature, but in taste), checked out a private show Monday night in a loft space in Kensington by Philly band The Districts that was filmed by Philly-based Out of Town Films (outoftownfilms.com). The video of the band (not Pro Bowl-er Barwin) should hit the Web in a couple of weeks.

Hey, fans of all things sudsy! Dreamboat "Bold and the Beautiful" star Don Diamont will celebrate the show's 7,000th episode in the Philadelphia area. On Friday, Diamont, who stars as dashing heir Bill Spencer Jr., a/k/a "Dollar Bill," will be at Parx Casino from noon to 2 p.m. to screen the landmark episode. Before being "Bold," Diamont had a 22-year stint on "The Young and the Restless," playing Brad Carlton.

CBS3 morning anchor Erika von Tiehl will play host for the afternoon. Two lucky guests will be randomly selected to sit next to Diamont during the screening, which would be pretty cool . . . unless his evil twin shows up instead! [Insert dramatic music here.]

Philly-based alt-rock/power-pop band SPiN will have a song on the CBS show "Stalker." The song is a dark, moody cover of the Turtles' traditionally bouncy hit "Happy Together," which fits with the tone of the creepy thriller starring Dylan McDermott and Maggie Q. You can catch SPiN's song tonight at 10.
