The Headstrong Foundation, committed to improving the quality of life for families affected by cancer, hosted its fifth annual Lime Light Gala on March 13 at the Hilton Philadelphia on Penn's Landing. The black-tie event included a silent auction, dinner, music by Jelly Roll, and an award presentation, which concluded with dancing in celebration of the life and legacy of foundation founder Nicholas "Head" Colleluori. Lime Light's honorees this year were Sunita D. Nasta, an associate professor of clinical medicine at the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania; Marshall Jensen, who received the prestigious Nicholas E. Colleluori Award for the survivor who demonstrated bravery and perseverance in the fight against blood cancer; and Richard Moses, who was presented the Relentless Spirit Award for being an ambassador of the organization and helping grow its mission. Proceeds from the gala will support Nick's House, a facility operated by the Headstrong Foundation that lightens the financial load for families traveling to Philadelphia for leukemia-related treatment at the Abramson Cancer Center.
