Loretta, 18, has goal to become a doctor
Confident and intelligent, Loretta has the determination and motivation to attain the goals she has set for herself. "I have the ambition to work hard to get what I need in life," the 18-year-old says.
Confident and intelligent, Loretta has the determination and motivation to attain the goals she has set for herself. "I have the ambition to work hard to get what I need in life," the 18-year-old says.
One of those goals is to be a surgeon, so she was thrilled to visit the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine recently. There, she was teamed with a medical student, which gave her the opportunity to see what a day in the life of medical training was like.
Loretta will enter 12th grade in the fall. Science is her favorite subject. While attending school full time, she is working two jobs. The staff at her jobs love her because she is a responsible and reliable worker. She looks forward to attending college and then becoming an OB-GYN.
Loretta loves music, especially gospel, and is a talented singer. She is learning to play the piano. She enjoys being active and learning new things.
Despite her age, Loretta wants to be adopted so she will have a family to come back to when she comes home from college. The family could be two-parent or a single mother who would be a role model.
