On Nov. 27, more than 325 attended the 136th Philadelphia Charity Ball, held at the Ballroom at the Ben. Cocktail hour and hors d'oeuvres kicked off the event, followed by dinner, a presentation of the Young Men's Committee, introduction of seven debutantes to the board of directors, the waltz of fathers or uncles with the 2015 debutantes, and the Young Men's Waltz. The 2015 ball will benefit Special Olympics Pennsylvania, which provides year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The Charity Ball also seeks to to inspire young people in Philadelphia to make philanthropy a central part of their lives.
