CBS3's Kathy Orr will talk "The Talk" tomorrow when she joins Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood at the Eye's lady-centric roundtable in Los Angeles.
Panelist Sharon Osbourne has the week off.
Orr will help welcome guest Megan Mullally.
"This is my comfort zone, I just talk," Orr told me about her nervousness level. "There's not a script, and no telepromter."
Orr told me she will definitely discuss the Shore and its recovery efforts post-Superstorm Sandy. "And we're bringing a whole bunch of gifts from the Shore, like saltwater taffy," Orr said.
Tyler is quite familiar with the Shore herself. Her husband, Jeff Tietjens, is from the area, and they vacation in Sea Isle.
Orr isn't the first CBS3 weatherwoman to go on "The Talk." Kate Bilo announced that she was pregnant with her second child while guest-hosting last year. Orr says she has no similar bombshells to drop.
Tonight, Orr will do her "Orr at the Shore" weather segment from the Santa Monica Pier for the 5 and 6 p.m. broadcasts.
Catch "The Talk" at 2 p.m. on CBS.
Connors weekends at NBC10
Rosemary Connors has been promoted to weekend anchor at NBC10, replacing Lori Wilson, who left the station for her home state of Indiana last month.
Connors has been with the station since 2009, covering the 2012 presidential race and the Jerry Sandusky sex-abuse scandal. In addition to her duties at NBC, Connors is also a part-time law student at Temple. She'll graduate in May.
Fun fact about Connors: The Penn graduate is the third generation of women in her family to report the news in Philly, including her mom, Mary Flannery, a Daily News alum. Her cousin is Kate Flannery, of "The Office," who will make her Philly stage debut this month in the Philadelphia Theatre Company's production of "Love, Loss and What I Wore."
Whipped and 'Walking'
Norman Reedus, who plays MVP Daryl Dixon on AMC's crazy-popular "The Walking Dead," Instagrammed a photo of cookies he received from Fishtown's own Whipped Bakeshop, including an adorable squirrel and an angel-winged jacket. Reedus was in town for the Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con, and I hear that a Reedus superfan (and regular Whipped customer) brought them as a gift. He was so tickled he Instagrammed them on the spot. They retail for $4.50 and $6.50, respectively. Snack how Reedus snacks at whippebakeshop.com.
Locals on 'MasterChef'
Fox's "MasterChef" will have two finalists from the Philly area on its upcoming fourth season.
Krissi Biaseillo, a 34-year-old paralegal from Philly, and Bri Kozior, a 22-year-old theater assistant from Doylestown, have made it to the next round. Catch their next challenge - a team competition in which they are tasked with making a healthy lunch for 300 schoolchildren - at 8 p.m. Wednesday on Fox .
"MasterChef," hosted by Fox's resident angry cook Gordon Ramsay, seeks to find the best amateur in the country. The winner gets a cookbook deal and $250,000.
OUT AND ABOUT
* Penn grad Ivanka Trump and hubs Jared Kushner showed up to support Brooklyn Flea Philly, the new massive market at the Piazza at Schmidts. Kushner bought a controlling interest in the Piazza from Bart Blatstein in February. Brooklyn Flea Philly happens every Sunday.
* I hear that before Meek Mill's surprise appearance at Saturday's Roots Picnic, the North Philly rapper chilled with boxers Danny Garcia and Simon "One Punch" Carr and Cleveland Cavalier Dion Waiters.
* NBC10 sports anchor John Clark and 97.5 the Fanatic host Mike Missanelli took home top honors at Seinfeld on Quizzo Thursday night at the Audobon Chickie's & Pete's, hosted by Crossing Broad's Kyle Scott. The team, Restrained Jubilation, also featured personal trainer Robby Schwartz, creator of the H.Y.P.E. workout (I hear he was the real brains behind the operation), and buddy/former Daily News columnist Dan Gross, who recently launched the strategic public-relations company Gross Communications, which you can learn more about at gross-communications.com.
