Tattle: Tyler Perry baby christening
Oprah is godmother, Jennifer Hudson performs at christening for Tyler Perrys son. George Clooney and Amal up their security. Whoopi stuck at The View.
CELEBRITY newborns, time to up your game.
Tyler Perry
's 2-month-old just received what might be Beverly Hills' most epic christening ever.
After a somewhat top-secret pregnancy, Gelila Bekele and her Madea-making beau pulled out all the stops for son Aman Tyler Bekele-Perry's first religious introduction.
Those stops: Constructing a church replicating the one Perry's late mother, Willie Maxine Perry, attended. In his back yard. You know, near the amazing pool.
Also, including celebrity guests in the ceremony. Singers at the gospel service: Jennifer Hudson, Yolanda Adams and Bill Withers.
Oh, yes, then there were the godmothers. Oprah Winfrey and Cicely Tyson. Perhaps you've heard of them?
Naturally, Aman is one of the O's favorite things.
ABC whoopsie
Page Six reported that Rosie O'Donnell's sudden departure from ABC's "The View" derailed Whoopi Goldberg's long-awaited plans to leave the show.
Goldberg had quietly planned to trade in a seat at the daytime chatter table for a starring role in ABC's "Delores and Jermaine," a tale of a lazy bones (Jermaine) who moves in with his ex-cop grandma (Delores). The "Sister Act" lead had planned to play the latter.
No luck that the two shows share a network, because over the long weekend execs decided to keep Goldberg in place. She told a reporter: "I have a really good job, but I also have bosses. They make decisions . . . sometimes you don't like them and you have to live with them."
Stars, they're just like . . . oh, nevermind.
All about that safe
The luxe 17th-century manor that bride 'n' groom Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney share in the English countryside is getting an upgrade. The home improvement is not a nursery for a future bouncing baby Clooney.
It's security. Apparently, future familial bliss and Alamuddin's high-profile human-rights barrister gig demand they go all out, Us Weekly reported. Fireproofing, bomb-proofing and overall attack resistance were listed as main improvements.
Oh, yeah, and a panic room. Just the finishing touch every newlywed couple dreams of.
