Smith created a Change.org petition calling for Williams to be fired from Grey's Anatomy because of his "racist, hate speech against law enforcement and white people at the BET awards."

The petition claims that a white person making the same speech about an African-American would have been fired and asked why Isaiah Washington was fired for his homophobic slur but nothing has happened to Williams.

As of Tattle's deadline, the petition had received almost 11,000 signatures.

Grey's creator Shonda Rhimes responded on Twitter: "Um, people? Boo don't need a petition."

The anti-Williams petition also stoked more than a half-dozen competing petitions supporting Williams, with the top three receiving more than 30,000 signatures combined.

E! News reports that in the Hamptons, fireworks went off on Saturday.

The combatants? Supermodel Christie Brinkley and hairdresser Erica Remkus.

It seems that around 10 p.m., Brinkley thought Remkus was taking a leak in the sand near her home.

The New York Post's Page Six got Remkus' version of events:

"You can't pee in front of my house!" Remkus said Brinkley screamed at her. "You have to go away. You're standing on my rocks. You can't pee on my rocks. I walk there!"

"These are not your rocks," Remkus yelled back. "This is not your beach. The beach is public property. You don't own it."

After a bit more yelling, Brinkley turned on her garden hose and drenched Remkus.

"I hadn't even peed yet, by the way," Remkus told the Post, adding "I would not have peed if she didn't spray me. After that, I kind of had to."

Local police interviewed Remkus for urinating on public property but recommended no charges be brought against her.

Smokey Robinson

was named the winner of the pop music prize from the Library of Congress.

Robinson, 76, is this year's recipient of the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. The lifetime achievement award is named for the duo of George and Ira Gershwin and was created by Congress to honor songwriters who entertain, inform and inspire. Past recipients include Billy Joel, Paul McCartney, Willie Nelson and Stevie Wonder.

Robinson has writing credits on more than 4,000 songs, and was behind some of the biggest hits in Motown history. As the lead singer of the Miracles, he wrote and performed "You've Really Got a Hold on Me," "The Tracks of My Tears" and "I Second That Emotion." He also wrote some of the Temptations' best-known songs, including "My Girl," "Get Ready" and "The Way You Do the Things You Do."

"It gives me such joy and gratitude to be included among the past recipients of this most prestigious songwriting award," Robinson said in a statement.

Robinson will accept the prize in Washington in November.

The TV show's composer Nathan Barr is writing the music. YA author Elizabeth Scott (Living Dead Girl) is writing the book and lyrics.

* Many Broadway stars have joined together to sing and raise money to help the survivors of the gay nightclub shooting in Orlando, Fla. Now, the cast and creative team from Fun Home will assemble at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, a few blocks from the shooting, on July 24, for a one-night benefit concert version of the Tony Award-winning show for survivors and victims' family.

"For our company, there is no choice but to respond with what we have, what we know, and the belief that it leads to something," said producer Mike Isaacson. "There isn't a choice not to respond."

The company will make the 1,000 mile trip from Broadway to Orlando on its day off.
