Meek Mill says he wasn't involved in attack on Nicki Minaj's ex

Meek Mill has denied any involvement in a weekend attack on fellow rapper — and Nicki Minaj ex — Safaree Samuels, saying Saturday that there "ain't no beef" between the two.

As TMZ reports, Samuels claims that Philly native Mill is behind a Friday attack outside DJ Khaled's West Hollywood pre-BET Awards party in which several men attempted to assault him. Video of the incident shows Mill exiting a nearby SUV as the group begins their attack on Samuels, of VH1's Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood  fame.

The gossip site caught up with Mill on Saturday to address the incident; the Dreamchasers rapper initially responded "Who?" to a question about Samuels before denying his involvement.

"Ain't no beef," Mill said. "I'm a boss. I'm a don. I don't even fight. I don't even know how they got us confused with that type of stuff, man."

BET spoke with Samuels about Mill ahead of Sunday's BET Awards ceremony, where the rapper indicated that the pair might "hug it out and shake hands" one day.

"I understand your place of desperation and wanting acknowledgement from me," Samuels said. "One day, we can hug it out and we can shake hands, and we can be friends. Until then, you'll just have to watch me rise from where you are. I feel that is what is hurting some of these people's hearts."

Samuels and Minaj dated for more than a decade before the pair split in 2014. Samuels claiming last year that Mill played a "big part" in the breakup. Mill and Minaj publicly acknowledged their relationship in early 2015, and confirmed breakup rumors in January this year.

Fellow rapper the Game, who has beefed with Mill previously, also chimed in on the ordeal, telling TMZ that Mill and Samuels ought to settle things by going toe-to-toe, saying that "it's only fair." Though, given Mill's "boss" status, the one-on-one route doesn't seem likely.
