"Rockin'' Ron Cade is out at 98.1 WOGL after nearly 30 years at the station, the veteran overnight and Elvis & Friends Radio Show host has confirmed.

Cade, who joined WOGL in November 1988, recently informed listeners via social media that he was cut from the station's staff. Cade confirmed his departure to Philly.com, saying he is "no longer doing overnights and the Elvis & Friends show has been canceled."

WOGL did not respond to request for comment.

Cade's Elvis & Friends program aired on Sundays on WOGL, and first launched in February 1978, according to CBS. It is reportedly the longest-running weekly Elvis-oriented radio program in the country.

Cade said he hoped to continue the Elvis & Friends show in the future, writing on Facebook that he will "explore all options" to "bring the Elvis & Friends show back to the airwaves as soon as I possibly can."

The longtime overnight host's exit comes following the departure of fellow former WOGL host "Cadillac"Jack Seville. Seville told Philly.com last week that he will "no longer be doing afternoon drive at WOGL," but declined to comment further.

According to InsideRadio, Cade and Seville's exits from the station are alongside evening host Jennifer Reed at fellow CBS Radio-owned station 92.5 WXTU. Additionally, Philadelphia Business Journal reports that WOGL will move its headquarters from Old City to Bala Cynwyd this week.

The changes for the WOGL come amid a $4 billion merger between CBS Radio and Entercom Communications Corp., a suburban Philadelphia-based media company. The merger will reportedly make the pair the United States' second-largest radio group, with 244 stations total. iHeartMedia is the largest, with more than 860 stations total.

This shake-up is the latest at WOGL, with former host Bill Zimpfer leaving his spot on the station's Breakfast Club in April due to a low contract offer. Former cohost Valerie Knight was let go from the station late last year, and was later replaced by former 95.7 BEN-FM host Marilyn Russell.
