The Easter bunny is hopping into town. Following in his footsteps are lots of great events for those of all ages.

In between decorating eggs and gorging on their delightful deviled executions, consider heading to Linvilla for a bunny-themed hayride, checking out the 86th annual Easter parade on South Street, or hopping on a holiday cruise down the Delaware River.

Plenty of community Easter egg hunts take over parks across the area, too, including two designed with the 21-and-older audience in mind.

Popular party thrower (and jeweler) Henri David returns to lead Philly's largest Easter parade, starting at Fifth and South Streets and continuing down to Headhouse Square. Notable names in entertainment will be Mr. and Mrs. Cottontail and the Philadelphia Freedom Band, among others. Show up dressed in your Sunday Best to compete in the annual costume contest.

Bring the kids and your camera to Linvilla Orchards for a breath of fresh air and a hayride adventure that'll land you at the Easter Bunny's house. Beyond selfies with Linvilla's friendly rabbit, guests can enjoy face painting, train rides, market-made treats, and more.

Find eggs of all colors filled with an assortment of treats at Franklin Square during its community Easter Egg Hunt. Children age 10 and younger are invited to join in. While the event is free, tickets are limited, so arrive early to sign up. Stick around afterward for a game of family mini golf at the park's 18-hole course.

Who says the candy and competition on Easter need be just for kids? Two different events this year invite the older crowd out for adults-only Easter egg hunts. Head to FDR Park for a celebration expected to be filled with plenty of shenanigans and also hidden "golden eggs" containing secret treasure. Or venture out to Chaddsford Winery, where Easter brings the chance to win not only free sweets, but free wine tastings and bottles, too.

The construction-themed park will hide 2,000 Easter eggs throughout its grounds. Every egg has a prize inside, and 20 golden eggs have grand prizes (ranging from $10 to $60). There are two simultaneous hunts: One is for little ones, 6 and younger; the other for those 7 to 12.

Spend Easter at the Philadelphia Zoo, and the holiday will bring far more animals than rabbits for the kiddos to meet. The celebration includes a brunch buffet followed by an Easter egg hunt and photo sessions with Mr. Cottontail, along with crafting activities and the chance to get up close with live animals. After the special Easter event, guests are invited to spend the remainder of the day exploring the zoo.

What's more memorable than spending Easter on the water? Ball out this Easter on a cruise that'll float you down the Delaware River. The Spirit of Philadelphia invites families to enjoy Easter brunch or dinner aboard a boat filled with live entertainment, dancing, and photo-opps with the Easter Bunny.

Greet the morning light or close out the evening Easter Sunday on an extra peaceful note with James Turrell's majestic Skyspace experience in Chestnut Hill. The 50-minute art installation allows you to experience sunrise and sunset in a transcendent lighting event. The space will open at dawn and at dusk in celebration of the holiday. Preregistration is recommended.

The Radnor Hotel hosts a tea party featuring a very special guest. Families are invited to partake in a lovely teatime menu, followed by a meet-and-greet with the Easter Bunny, plus crafting activities, storytelling, a piano sing-a-long, and more. Reservations are required.

Let the kids (ages 12 and younger) run off some energy at Weaver's Orchard Easter egg hunt. Afterward, snap a family selfie with the Easter Bunny, attend a storytelling session, play with baby animals at the petting zoo, and/or take a ride on the barrel train. Hayrides around the farm will also take place, weather permitting.
