Luke Bryan rules chart

Country crooner Luke Bryan beat out Dr. Dre in LP sales last week with Kill the Lights, which sold 320,000 units, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It took the top spot on the Billboard chart. Dr. Dre's Compton debuted at No. 2, selling 276,000 copies, while the Now That's What I Call Music! 55 compilation debuted in third with 76,000.

Straight Outta Compton, a biopic about legendary rap group N.W.A., took the top spot on the box-office chart in its opening weekend, making $56.1 mils, according to studio estimates. Tom Cruise held his own with Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, in second place with $17 mil. Sexy spy circus The Man From U.N.C.L.E. made a paltry $13.5 mil to take the third spot.
