The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) hosted its annual Red & White Ball on March 21 at the Westin Philadelphia, featuring an evening of food, a silent and live auction, and entertainment by the sizzling hot EBE. More than 460 attended. A 2105 GLA 250 Mercedes-Benz raffle was also reason to be a part of the evening, as 1,500 tickets were sold for the drawing for the SUV, valued at $33,000 and generously donated by local dealers. LLS received 100 percent of the ticket sales. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is dedicated to combatting leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improving the quality of life of patients and their families. This year's honorees were corporate diamond winner Burlington Stores and the Mission honoree Karlee Hofmann. The Red & White Ball raised $500,000, with proceeds to be used for innovative, life-saving cancer research and patient programs.
