Pat Gallen joins CBS3 morning show full time

Freelance sports reporter Pat Gallen has joined CBS3 full time as a feature reporter on their newly revamped Eyewitness News This Morning. Gallen has been working with CBS3 since July 2015, hired shortly after it was announced that the station was letting go of longtime sports anchor Beasley Reece (anchor Chris May and meteorologist Kathy Orr were also let go. Don Bell was hired as a fulltime replacement in September 2015).

Recently, CBS3 announced that consumer affairs reporter Jim Donovan would be joined by newbie Brooke Thomas on the Eyewitness News This Morning anchor desk, starting April 4. Anchor Erika Von Tiehl is departing the station to get married.

Previously, Gallen was a host on 97.5 the Fantatic, as well a contributor to Philly.com and the host of Eagles Post Game Live on Fox 29. Gallen is a Philadelphia native, graduating from Northeast High and later West Chester University.
