Dan Gross: Alycia Lane, Ashley Hamilton no longer dating

FORMER CBS 3 ANCHOR Alycia Lane is no longer "in a relationship" with actor, singer and former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant Ashley Hamilton, her Facebook page indicated recently.

Lane, 40, confirmed Monday that she and Hamilton, 37, son of actor George Hamilton, had dated but haven't seen each other for some time now.

"Sweet, wonderful guy. Just wasn't meant to be," Lane told us. Hamilton was twice married in the 1990s, for about six months each time, first to actress Shannen Doherty and later to model Angie Everhart.

Lane, now anchoring mornings at KNBC in Los Angeles, and Chris Booker, a former Q102 DJ, broke up about a year ago, after dating for about four years.

We asked Lane whether she was seeing anybody, but she did not reply.

While hospitalized for cancer treatment recently, former U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter said he looked forward to getting back on the comedy stage.

And it looks as if he will on Nov. 16, when the veteran politician joins 94 WIP's Big Daddy Graham and comedian Joe Conklin for their "Two Funny Philly Guys" show at the Media Theatre.

Graham says Specter's set went over well with the crowed the last time he performed with the pair.

Donovan McNabb, now working for the NFL Network, hung out late in a VIP area at Rumor (15th & Sansom) during the club's anniversary party Friday night.

* In Monday's column (and over the weekend on PhillyGossip. com), we told you that Kevin Spacey hung out in Center City, barhopping from Smith & Wollensky to Dandelion to Chris' Jazz Cafe, but we didn't know why he was in town.

A friend of the actor got in touch Monday to say Spacey took a trip up from Baltimore, where he's shooting "House of Cards," for Netflix, because he enjoys the city and wanted a change of scenery.

* A good crowd came down from New York to see Juliet Simms and Tony Vincent, former contestants on NBC's "The Voice," perform a free concert Friday at Parx Casino in Bensalem.

Simms and Vincent stayed at the casino till about 1 a.m. Satuday, talking with fans and eating at Parx Grill.

When a Parx security guard told Vincent that his 17-year-old daughter was a huge fan, but couldn't attend Friday as you must be 21 to get into Parx, Vincent told him to call her.

He chatted with the aspiring singer for about 10 minutes about his Broadway roots and his career and wished her good luck.

* Olympic gold-medalist swimmer Brendan Hansen, a Havertown native, signed autographs and let people try on his medals Saturday at a preview event for the new Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in East Norriton.

The facility opens later this week.

Stephen Chbosky, who wrote and directed "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," will read from his novel (from which the film was adapted) at 1:15 p.m. Thursday afternoon at the Barnes & Noble on Rittenhouse Square.

The film, starring Emma Watson, opens Friday at the Ritz Five and the Rave Voorhees.
