Syrup without the sweet

I am not a fan of most syrupy, cloying mixers, designed to stay sweet even when paired with alcohol. But this sparkling beverage, created by chef David Burke, breaks the mold. Refreshing and clean, the Blanc combines citrus, ginger, and herb, and mixes well with vodka and gin. The Rouge, made of pomegranate, black currant, and black pepper, will pour a lovely vodka martini, but can also be mixed with red wine, Cointreau, and rum for sangria.

Then again, these bottles are quite nice all on their own.
