Police on Wednesday arrested John Capobianco, 36, and charged him with stabbing a Wawa cashier during a robbery on Frankford Avenue near Meridian Street early Monday.
Police said Capobianco, of Vista Street near Erdrick, in the Northeast, paid for a piece of candy and then stabbed the unidentified employee in the arm when she opened the register. He made off with about $190, police said.
5 are injured in blaze
at North Phila. house
Five people were hurt in a fire at a two-story house in North Philadelphia last night. Fire officials said the blaze broke out at the house on 9th Street near Venango at about 9:30 p.m. and was brought under control in about 10 minutes.
The victims, none of whom were identified, were taken to Temple University Hospital and Albert Einstein Medical Center and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police are asking the public's help in finding Barry Brothers, 27, of West Philadelphia, who vanished on Tuesday from his job at the Department of Public Health, Girard Avenue near Corinthian . His 1999 Cadillac was later found near Fairmount Park. Police said Brothers is black, about 5-foot-6, 160 pounds with straight black hair. Tipsters can contact police at 215-686-3183.
Drugstore robber sought
in Camden County
Camden County authorities are looking for a man they suspect is a serial robber who preys on pharmacies, looking for the drug oxycontin.
On Nov. 21, the man tried to get the drug from the CVS store in Stratford, but left when the pharmacist told him he couldn't get the drug. But he is suspected of taking oxycontin from a Rite Aid in Evesham, a Rite Aid in Monroe and a CVS in Medford. He is white, husky, and has worn a hoodie and blue pajama bottoms on his heists.
