3 accused in Montco heist

A federal grand jury indicted a former Philadelphia cop and two others yesterday in connection with an armed December 2007 home-invasion robbery of a drug dealer in Pottstown, Montgomery County.

Authorities said the ex-cop, Malik Snell, 35, of Philadelphia, drove co-defendants Tyree Aimes and Stephon Gibson to Pottstown. The defendants wounded one person and tied up another, then fled, empty-handed, in Snell's car, leading police on a chase that ended when Snell crashed his car into another vehicle, injuring its passengers. *
