Man sought in 2 bank heists The FBI is asking the public's help in finding Daniel P. Magee, 31, who is being sought in the robberies of the PNC Bank branch at 18th and Market streets on Nov. 11 and the PNC Bank branch at 16th and Market streets on Oct. 17. Magee, of Elberon Avenue near Rhawn Street in Fox Chase, is 5-feet-11, 175 pounds with tattoos of a shamrock on his left upper arm and a Celtic cross on his right upper arm. Slain woman identified

A woman shot to death early Tuesday in Southwest Philadelphia has been identified as Charmaine McQuilkin, 47.

McQuilkin, of Peach Street near Florence Avenue, was shot in the face and the chest as she stood near a pay phone at 54th and Florence about 1 a.m., police said.

Man, 21, shot in West Philly

A 21-year-old man was fatally shot in West Philadelphia last night. Homicide Lt. Philip Riehl said the victim, whose name was not released, was shot several times at 42nd and Parrish streets at 8:21 p.m. and died soon after at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Museum to exhibit dinosaur

The Academy of Natural Sciences, which displayed the world's first complete dinosaur skeleton 150 years ago, will bring it back for an encore as the centerpiece of a new exhibit, "Hadrosaurus foulkii: The Dinosaur That Changed the World," opening Nov. 22. The skeleton was discovered in New Jersey in 1858.

Honors for 2 black columnists

Pioneering black journalists Claude Lewis and Acel Moore will be presented with the M. Powell Lawton Quality of Life Award today at a conference of the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging at the Union League. The honorees, former columnists at the Inquirer, will look back on their careers "dedicated to challenging racial bias in mainstream media," PCA said in a statement.

Widener gets $5M donation

An unidentified alumnus of Widener University has given the school $5 million, the largest gift in the Chester school's history. The donation will fund an institute for leadership at Widener.

Bikers staging annual toy run

Bikers Against Child Abuse will hold its annual Toy Run Sunday in Boothwyn to raise money and collect toys for the Salvation Army, Crozer Chester Pediatric Ward and needy families.
