Molly Eichel: Snider hosting historic bash for his 4th wedding

FLYERS owner Ed Snider and his fiancee, Lin Spivak, will host a party to celebrate their wedding Feb. 23 at University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.

It's a lovely spot and a sweet museum, although Snider and Spivak's guests will probably be more interested in the party than, say, the Penn Museum's new exhibit featuring an ancient Roman mosaic on loan from a site in Lod, Israel.

Snider and Spivak are sprinting down the aisle. The couple, who began dating in March, got engaged in November at a "swanky" Santa Barbara, Calif., restaurant to the sweet sounds of Bruno Mars' "Marry You," according to SportsInput.com.

This will be the fourth time Snider, 80, says "I do." His most recent marriage was to jewelry designer Christine Decroix in 2009. Spivak, 46, has been married previously as well.

Allen Iverson is having a no- good, very-bad week.

The former Sixer lost his Atlanta mansion at a foreclosure auction, according to TMZ. Foreclosure proceedings began in December, after Iverson defaulted on his $1.2 million mortgage. He was able to stave off foreclosure in December by filing a lawsuit claiming that he never consented to the terms of the loan set up by his estranged wife, Tawanna. Iverson bought the house for $4.5 million in December 2010. At this week's auction, Iverson's bank bought it for $2.5 million.

This news comes after the Atlanta judge presiding over Iverson's divorce slammed the erstwhile basketball great for his parenting skills, giving custody to Tawanna and putting strict sanctions on his visitation rights.

Welcome Iain Page, who will join Fox 29 as an anchor for the 5 p.m. newscast, alongside Kerry Barrett. Page also will contribute to the 10 p.m. newscast. Barrett and Thomas Drayton will continue to hold down the desk at 6 and 10 p.m.

Page comes to Philly from KPRC-TV, in Houston. Before working in Texas he worked in sports news, anchoring the table at the Golf Channel.

Vollmer, a world-record holder in the 100-meter butterfly, was diagnosed with a genetic cardiac electrical disorder called Long QT Syndrome when she was 15.

reputed mob boss Joseph Ligambi, celebrated a big court win on Tuesday at Italian Market restaurant Monsu (901 Christian St.) with buddies, including Dr. David Raezer and the Geator himself, Jerry Blavat, where they supped on a massive meal from Chef Peter McAndrews.

Wait, hold up. Didn't Jacobs' client Ligambi threaten to kill the Geator in 2009, according to the November testimony of mob informant Louis "Bent Finger Lou" Monacello?

Blavat didn't seem concerned about the death threat. "That was just thrown out to make these guys look like bad guys," Blavat told me. "When you grow up in a neighborhood like I did, you know everybody. I grew up in a place where you shook a person's hand and you didn't ask his business."
