Officer shot near Broad and Somerset

In an early press release, the Philadelphia Police Department reported the shooting of Police Officer Ashley Hoggard assigned to the 39th District. On Sunday, June 14, 2009, Officer Hoggard was shot while on duty at Broad Street and Somerset Street. Officer Hoggard was transported to Temple Hospital and is currently listed in Stable Condition.
