Ke'Andre, 15, finds joy in bird-watching

One of Ke'Andre's favorite hobbies is birding. The 15-year-old has been studying different types of birds and enjoys sharing what he learns with others. Concerned for the comfort of his feathered friends, he lovingly builds birdhouses for them.

Ke'Andre is also intrigued by automobiles, especially vintage cars. Other favorite pastimes are watching cartoons and sports on television, and listening to music.

Ke'Andre has been diagnosed with autism. He is verbal and does not have any physical disabilities, and he has made tremendous progress in his development. A little shy, he is friendly and kind toward those he knows well. Ke'Andre is very organized and takes pride in keeping his bedroom and other areas in his foster home clean.

Ke'Andre likes going to school and benefits from special-education services. He does well academically, receiving mostly A's and B's. Math, woodworking, and auto shop are his favorite classes, and he is a member of his school baseball team.

Ke'Andre has experienced many separations and losses, and he dreams of being adopted. His ideal family would be a mom and a dad and, hopefully, a sister. He would love to attend an auto show with them.

Ke'Andre and other children are available for adoption. For information, contact Anna Coleman at the National Adoption Center.
