We love our furry friends, but the hair they leave behind can drive us nuts. Nobody likes showing up to work with fur all over their black pants, or inviting people over only to have them leave covered in pet hair! Here are 5 simple solutions for removing pet hair:

1. Packing tape

Half of the time we notice pet hair on us is when we're out, meaning you probably won't have a spare roller handy. Packing tape works just the same way a roller does. Just rip off a piece, make a tube around your hand (sticky side out), and run it over your clothes. Actually, it's even stickier than a roller and works wonders.

2. Water and a rubber glove

When removing pet hair from furniture, this method may not be the most glamorous but it gets the job done. Lightly mist water over the offended furniture, then run over the surface with a rubber glove on your hand. This will remove quite a bit of hair.

3. Scotch Fur Fighters

Use this device on furniture and watch the hair disappear. Although refills are a bit of a pain, you can stretch the cost by cleaning them with an old toothbrush.  Find it on Amazon.

4. Swiffer Sweeper

Use dry Swiffers to pick up hair off of your hard wood floors. They are not reusable but they're very effective and not too costly. Purchase a Swiffer here.

5. Brushes

To avoid having pet hair all over your home and clothes all together, purchase pet brushes for your beloved companion. Brushing your furry friend every other day or even once a week will greatly decrease the amount of fur that you find around your home. Try Pet Select Soft Touch Slicker Wire Brush.

For pets with sensitive skin (usually cats), Li'l Pals Bristle Brush for Kittens is great. It may take a bit longer to get the hair off, but it's very effective on extra sensitive skin. Dogs also enjoy the feel of KONG's ZoomGroom.
