Muhammad Bobbitt-Salaam, 29, and Abdel Salaam, 48, both of Chester, were charged with trademark counterfeiting, conspiracy, and dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities, according to court records. They were remanded to Delaware County prison, unable to post 10 percent of the $10,000 bail.
A year-long investigation by agents with Homeland Security found the men were selling the items at their store, People's Choice and Discount Clothing, at 531 Avenue of the States, in Chester.
Items seized included shoes, clothing, handbags and sunglasses with the Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Nike and Michael Kors brand names.
