Reward for information on missing Roxborough man increases

The bakery that employs the father of a missing Roxborough man has contributed an additional $9,000 to a reward for information on his disappearance.

Bimbo Bakeries USA said Shane Montgomery's father, Kevin, has been an associate there for nearly 35 years. Their contribution to the reward has increased its total to $40,000.

Montgomery, 21, has been missing since he left a Kildare's Irish Pub on Main Street in Manayunk early Thanksgiving Day. The FBI has joined the search for the West Chester University student, and Philadelphia police have searched the Manayunk Canal and the Schuykill River with no sign of Montgomery. A vigil for his safe return was held at his alma mater Wednesday night. - Aubrey Whelan
