The Royersford woman who was reported missing over the weekend after her car broke down on a highway has been found in Philadelphia, according to Upper Providence police.

Several tips Monday helped police track Deirdre Magolon, 20, to the Kensington section, where she was found Tuesday, according to police.

On a Facebook page called "Help Us Bring DD Home," Magolon's family posted the news and thanked the public for sharing the woman's picture on social media across the country.

"She's found safe and sound! Thank you everyone for your help!!!!! My family and I greatly appreciate it," they posted.

Magolon left her home around 7 p.m. Friday. Her black Mazda was found about 20 minutes later abandoned on the side of eastbound Route 422 near King of Prussia.

After receiving several tips, police confirmed that she had hitchhiked to Kensington, where she was again spotted Saturday and Sunday.

Upper Providence police said Magolon had mental health problems and had attempted suicide in the past. She also was arrested on drug charges in Upper Providence in February. She is scheduled to be arraigned in that case on April 1.
