Philadelphia police are searching for a man captured on video last month committing an execution-style murder in a coin laundry.
Eric Norman, 25, a stay-at-home father, was gunned down Feb. 19 in the laundry on the 1300 block of South 53d Street.
Homicide Capt. James Clark released video Wednesday showing a person entering the establishment. Off-camera, the person pointed a silver handgun at Norman and fired several times. As Norman slid to the floor wounded, the man leaned down and fired a fatal shot into his head, Clark said. The encounter took only seconds.
The killer was wearing a Philadelphia Water Department jacket and cap. It's unclear whether he worked for the department, Clark said, adding that the department was working with homicide detectives.
Clark said Norman was married with a young daughter, and often went to the laundry to buy lottery tickets. Detectives have no leads regarding a motive, he said, and are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect.
