Delaware Valley College to host anti-sexual-violence events
DOYLESTOWN Delaware Valley College's chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) has scheduled a Take Back the Night event on campus for Thursday, to start at 6 p.m. in Moumgis Auditorium in the Student Center.
Take Back the Night is an international movement that raises awareness about sexual assault, sexual abuse, and domestic violence. April has been designated as Sexual Assault Awareness Month by anti-sexual-assault organizations and is coordinated by the National Sexual Violence Resource Center.
At Del Val, the night will include a walk through campus and a rally in Moumgis. Also scheduled is a resource fair in the Student Center featuring AAUW, the Network of Victim Assistance, A Woman's Place, Bucks County Against Human Trafficking, Students for Diversity, Minority Relations Council, and other organizations.
There is no charge to attend, and the event is open to the public. - Inquirer staff
