Man fatally shot in Brewerytown ID'd
A man who was fatally shot in Brewerytown Tuesday was identified as Nafees Johnson, 24, of the 3200 block of West Oxford Street in Strawberry Mansion, police said Wednesday.
A man who was fatally shot in Brewerytown Tuesday was identified as Nafees Johnson, 24, of the 3200 block of West Oxford Street in Strawberry Mansion, police said Wednesday.
About 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a radio call for a "person with a gun" at 30th and Oxford Streets, about two blocks from where Johnson lived, and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his face, chest, arms and legs.
Johnson was taken by medics to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:01 p.m.
The shooter was described as a black man, wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, who fled west on Oxford.
