Train strikes, kills person in Camden; PATCO service resumes

PATCO resumed full service Tuesday night after a temporary halt in Camden when a train fatally struck a person, authorities said.

The incident occurred in the area of the Broadway Station shortly after 4 p.m. No further information was available about the person struck.

Service at and through the Broadway Station was halted until around 7 p.m., when trains were allowed to bypass the stop. An hour later, service resumed at the station. PATCO said that NJ Transit was cross-honoring tickets for riders.
