All lanes reopen after tractor-trailer overturns on I-676
All lanes have reopened following an extended cleanup operation after a fruit truck overturned at the base of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge on Wednesday night.
The tractor-trailer crashed at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the westbound lanes of Interstate 676 near 5th Street in Philadelphia.
The Delaware River Port Authority said all westbound lanes reopened at about 11:15 a.m. Thursday.
The crash had disrupted motorists for more than 14 hours, with lanes shut down and traffic diverted off the bridge at 5th Street.
The speed limit on the bridge had been reduced, but is now back up to 45 mph.
