A man who repeatedly stabbed his girlfriend Saturday in their North Philadelphia home later walked into 26th District headquarters to alert authorities of his crimes, homicide detectives said yesterday.
1. MAN CHARGED WITH KILLING GIRLFRIEND
WHERE: Palethorp Street near Norris
A man who repeatedly stabbed his girlfriend Saturday in their North Philadelphia home later walked into 26th District headquarters to alert authorities of his crimes, homicide detectives said yesterday.
Kelvin Rivera, 23, argued with Zakimah Forde, 24, inside their home on Palethorp Street near Norris, and then allegedly plunged a knife into her body multiple times, police said.
Rivera was charged with murder yesterday.
2. MAN KILLED OUTSIDE CAMDEN PARTY
WHERE: Vine Street, near Front, in North Camden
A party in North Camden turned deadly yesterday morning when a van was riddled with bullets just outside, police said.
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office said Elaido Castro, 36, of Camden was sitting in the Chevrolet Astro around 2 a.m. when the shooting began. He was struck and pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
A 25-year-old Camden man was also struck and was being treated for nonlife threatening injuries at Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Jason Laughlin, a spokesman for the prosecutor's office, said it was unclear whether the suspect or suspects were attending the party.

3. STABBING VICTIM DIES AT BUCKS APARTMENT
WHERE: Street Road near Park Avenue in Warminster, Bucks County
A 30-year-old man died yesterday after being found stabbed numerous times at the Bucks Landing Apartment complex in Warminster, police said.
The injured man was taken by ambulance to Abington Memorial Hospital, where he died, police said. His name is being withheld until his family is notified.
4. MAN SHOT IN HEAD IN CAR
WHERE: 18th Street near Dickinson
Police found a South Philadelphia man shot critically inside his car near his home and he died yesterday of his injuries, police said.
Police responded to a call of a shooting and found a white Acura resting against a parked vehicle on 18th Street near Dickinson. Tyrik Enty, 24, of Wharton Street near 18th, was seated in the driver seat with a gunshot wound to the head. Enty was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania by police where he died at 8:30 a.m., investigators said.
Enty had been talking to a man outside the driver's seat when the suspect ran up to the driver's side window and fired multiple times inside the car. Police have no motive and continue to investigate the murder
5. KENSINGTON SHOOTING LEAVES ONE DEAD
WHERE: Emerald Street near Fletcher
Khalil Oliver, 20, was shot Friday in Kensington and died Saturday of his injuries, police said.
Oliver had an argument with an unknown man, who shot Oliver behind the left ear and once in the back. He was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead at 5:05 p.m. Police are interviewing witnesses in the case.
6. TWO SHOT IN WEST PHILLY, ONE FATALLY
WHERE: 53rd and Chestnut streets
Two men were shot on a West Philadelphia street yesterday afternoon, leaving one dead, police said.
The unknown shooter struck around 5 p.m., striking one man in the chest and another in the arm. The victim with the chest injury was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was pronounced at 5:19 p.m.
7. WOMAN KILLED IN GERMANTOWN
WHERE: Sheldon Street near Wister
A Delaware County woman was found dead Saturday morning, sitting inside a car parked in Germantown by police responding to call of gunfire.
Christine O'Neill, 38, of Crestwood Drive near Oak Avenue in Clifton Heights, had a gunshot wound to her head and was pronounced dead at 10 a.m. by fire medics. Her white Mercury Sable was parked in the rear driveway of the home, police said. They have no suspects and are investigating.
8. AIR CONDITIONERS STOLEN FROM CHURCH
WHERE: 70th Street near Elmwood Avenue
A central air conditioning unit at the Southwest Presbyterian Church was stolen this weekend, forcing the church to use fans to deal with yesterday's sweltering heat, according to reports.
Wires were cut from the main air conditioning unit and a second unit was damaged, police said.
