New, improved freebies for National Coffee Day
The offers of freebies to celebrate National Coffee Day on Sunday are better than initially reported.
We're adding two new ones, including one good for four days, and updating another that turns out to have no strings attached in this region.
NEW: Sunoco A-Plus markets are offering customers with a copy of a coupon (print this one here) a free 16-ounce cup of coffee from Friday to Monday (Sept. 27-30). Make sure the Sunoco you visit has an A-Plus.
NEW: Wawa will email you a coupon for a free 16-ounce cup if you fill out this form, touted through Wawa's Facebook page.
IMPROVED: Forget the app at Dunkin Donuts. A small hot coffee (10 ounces) or iced coffee (16 ounces) is free on Sunday throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. No coupon, no purchase necessary. In Pennsylvania, we're talking from Chester County to Lehigh County, from Philadelphia to Berks County. South Jersey's covered, plus Mercer and Warren Counties in New Jersey. Delaware's Kent and New Castle Counties are included, too. For news about weekend discounts on bags of coffee or boxes of K-Cups, go to www.DunkinDonuts.com.
As previously reported, Krispy Kreme is giving away free 12-ounce cups of coffee. Or pay $1 for any 12-ounce mocha, latte or iced coffee. The Philadelphia area, though, has only four locations.
No need to wait till Sunday to try to win free coffee for a year (plus "collectible" mug) from Krispy Kreme. Twelve winners randomly selected from entries at www.nationalcoffedaygiveaway.com. Deadline Sunday night.
Starbucks is offering free tastings of a new blend named Ethiopia, honoring the place where coffee drinking began. Buy a one-pound bag Sunday and get a complimentary ceramic cup, while supplies last. More: www.starbucks.com.
