A fund has been set up for the family of slain Philadelphia Police Officer Robert Wilson III.
The 30-year-old was gunned down during an attempted robbery at a North Philadelphia GameStop store on Thursday. Wilson, an eight-year veteran of the department, leaves behind two young children.
The officer had stopped at the GameStop on Thursday as a security check and to buy a game as a gift for his older son, whose birthday is on Monday and who was earning good grades in school.
Officials said anyone who wants to make a donation to the trust fund established by members of the police department can do so in person at these Police and Fire Federal Credit Union branches:
