NEWS

News interns will be responsible for assisting in web production and updating the website. Interns should have strong copy-editing skills and be able to handle breaking news.

They will also be asked to build image galleries and develop new ways to build traffic and engage the philly.com audience.

Previous work in journalism, especially experience in an online environment, is strongly preferred.

The ability to work with a content management system is a plus, as is a familiarity with Photoshop and Final Cut Pro.

SPORTS

Philly.com is also looking for sports interns.

Responsibilities for this position include updating the website, building image galleries, writing engaging headlines and handling breaking news.

Previous work in journalism, especially experience in an online environment, is strongly preferred. Candidates for this position must display sound editorial judgement and a strong grasp of AP style, along with a superior knowledge of the local sports scene.

The ability to work with a content management system is a plus, as is a familiarity with Photoshop and Final Cut Pro.
