Security measures in and around Lincoln Financial Field were stepped up for the Philadelphia Eagles game on Sunday in the wake of a series of terrorist attacks that rocked the city of Paris two days before.
The Philadelphia Police Department increased its presence at the sports complex to make sure officers were "visible to all and ensuring safety," according to a statement provided by a police spokeswoman.
Social media postings from the stadium also indicated a heightened law enforcement presence, with fans sharing photos of Philadelphia police SWAT and Homeland Security units stationed around the area before the game began.

The NFL said in a statement Saturday that federal authorities told the league there were "no known threats" against stadiums where games were being held over the weekend.
Still, the NFL announced that it would take additional safety precautions and reinforce those already in place, including the use of metal detectors and requirement that all bags brought into its stadiums be clear. The league strongly recommended that fans refrain from bringing bags at all, if possible.
The NFL planned to hold a moment of silence in honor of the Paris attack victims before the Eagles game against the Miami Dolphins, scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
