Sandy Doughty, 18, of the 600 block of Elwood Aveue, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the 2500 block of South 61st Street.
He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead just before 2 p.m.
The homicide raises this year's toll to 181, up from 166 as of June 11 last year.
Last night, at about 11:30, a 17-year-old male was shot in the arm at B and Rockland Streets in Feltonville.
He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was in stable condition, police said.
Also, police said that the shooting of a woman Wednesday turned into a homicide when she died on Sunday.
Terri Bassey, 42, lived in the 3800 block of Poplar Street.
She was found unconscious and bleeding from head at 6:39 a.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of the N. 41st Street.
She was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she died shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday.
Police are still looking for suspects and motives in these cases.
