Woman murdered, house burned in Cobbs Creek

A fatally shot woman was found at the scene of a house fire in the 6000 block of Cobbs Creek Parkway in West Philadelphia this morning, police said.

A 911 call reporting a shooting and fire at a two-story residence was made at 5:11 a.m., police said. The Fire Department placed the blaze under control at 5:33 a.m.

The body of an unidentified woman was found shot to death at the scene. Investigators were seeking a suspect, whose name was not available, police said.
