Two men found dead yesterday in an apartment above a North Philadelphia car stereo store had been bound with duct tape before they were each shot in the head execution-style, police said.
One of the victims, Kenneth Lockwood, 47, lived in the apartment above 5th Street Car Stereo, at 2951 N. Fifth Street, police confirmed. The second man, who is Hispanic and in his 30s, remained unidentified this morning.
The shop sold more than stereos.
According to authorities, the building served as the retail outlet for a nationwide drug paraphernalia distribution network.
Lockwood was one of four men arrested in an October drug raid on the property, according to court documents.
Law enforcement agents seized large quantities of materials used by drug dealers to dilute cocaine and heroin at the Fifth Street store and several related locations.
Lockwood, charged with distribution of drug paraphernalia and dozens of related counts, had posted $500,000 bail and was awaiting a pretrial conference scheduled for October 6, according to court records.
